The Narcissistic Preacher
They see your questions as criticism
you being the villain, they the victim
They try to give you verbal concussion
simply to block any further discussion
But in Christ we have the saving helmet
In Him we persist and in Him we outwit
Proverbs 21:24
“
Mocker
is
the
name
of
the
proud
and
arrogant
man—of
him who acts with excessive pride.”
- Berean Standard Bible
Mockery
and
sarcasm
go
hand
in
hand,
both
with
a
wounding
agenda.
All
trials
are
used
by
Christ
as
pitfalls
to
teach.
You
preachers,
who
delight
in
belittling
your
‘opponents’,
just
know
that
this
defence
mechanism
is
just
a
shield
to
hide
your
vulnerability
by
showing
‘dominance’.
But
strong
emotions
usually
crack
the
hard
nut
of
pretence
from
within,
exposing
weakness.
Christ
Himself
lets
this
happen
in
His
time.
What
did
He
say
upon
Paul’s
triple
pledge
to
have
his
trial
from
Satan’s
messenger
removed?
He
told
Paul
that
His
grace
suffices
(
2 Corinthians 12:9
).
Grace?
Yes,
the
grace
that
gives
spiritual
muscle
power!
Pride
is
there
for
a
reason
and
so
is
its
punishment,
to
expose
its
weakness
and
to
transform it into triumph… in Christ!
Proverbs 16:5
“Everyone
who
is
proud
in
heart
is
detestable
to
the
LORD;
be assured that he will not go unpunished.”
- Berean Standard Bible
When we have the courage to be weak
then Christ will lift us up unto His peak
