Adam & Eve didn’t miss a tangible God in Eden. In their total reliance upon Him they had all their needs met, feeling secure in His love, with fear and ego two unknown sensations. In their dependence upon God there was no room for disobedience, but that came to an end when they succumbed to Satan’s [predetermined] temptation and disobedience separated them from God. Immediately they became insecure, scared and stripped from their identity. The sudden awareness of their vulnerable selves and of evil was the first encounter with spiritual death on earth. It’s still here. Separation from God is death and disobedience sustains that. Under the law Galatians 3:10 “For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”” - New International Version- Under a curse Jesus BECAME the curse FOR us Galatians 3:13 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”” - New International Version Jesus abolished ALL sin! 1 John 2:2 “He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” - Berean Standard Bible You know of course what THIS means, don’t you? There’s simply NO sin anymore, because of CHRIST NO sin, NO law! Romans 5:13 “For sin was in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account when there is no law.” - Berean Standard Bible So, then where is the Mosaic law now? NOWHERE! But, there’s more… The Law of Moses had the death penalty if even ONE trespass was committed James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” - New International Version Hebrews 10:28 “Anyone who rejected the law of oses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.” - New International Version there’s a ‘problem’, however. There is NO death anymore and NO law. What now? BE HAPPY. You save a lot of money (and time) on shofars, tzitzits, prayer shawls, etc! Jesus defeated death with His resurrection! Both 1st and 2nd death! (Lake of fire being the spiritual 2nd death! – Rev. 21:8) Place of painful discipline for unbelievers (Rev. 21:8). Afterwards eternal life! Matthew 5:17-18 “17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” - International Standard Version John 19:30 “When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” - New International Version Revelation 21:6 “He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.” - New International Version Jesus gave a NEW law Called, LOVE! John 13:34-35 “34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”” - New International Version James 1:25 “But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” - New International Version So, let’s INTENTLY look into this verse above and see what the ”perfect” in the “perfect law” and the “doing” really mean here. - Westcott and Hort 1880 What is the “it” Jesus was referring to here? The LAW of course! Let’s scrutinise this verse from beginning to end:
So, let’s INTENTLY look into this verse above and see what the ”perfect” in the “perfect law” and the doing” really mean here. - Westcott and Hort 1880 What is the “it” Jesus was referring to here? The LAW of course!
WLet’s scrutinise James 1:25 “But whoever looks intently into the 1 perfect law that gives 2 freedom, and 3 continues in it—4 not forgetting what they 5 have heard, but 6 doing it—they will be 7 blessed in what they do.” - New International Version
The Complete law, #5046 - teleios (adjective), 4982. sózó It means complete, having come to its end, having made WHOLE Christ’s law is all about having given WHOLENESS having rescued into divine safety
The Complete law of Christ, the Messiah and Saviour of ALL! Ephesians 2:8 4982. sózó “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” - Berean Literal Bible
The Complete law of the God of ALL GRACE! 1 Peter 5:10 Who are the “you”? EVERYONE! “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” - New International Version
Jesus went down to the disobedient spirits. The Complete law of the God of Patience! God is a God of PATIENCE (longsuffering), NOT willing for ANYONE to perish! 1 Peter 3:9 “The Lord does not delay the promise, as some esteem slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance.” - Berean Literal Bible And what about the disobedient spirits in Noah’s days, were they exceptions? NO!
Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few chosen."” - Berean Literal Bible #4183 Polloi - Πολλοὶ multitudinous ALL are called, based upon the below! Few are chosen as the FIRSTFRUITS. All other fruits come later, each in his/her own order! 1 Corinthians 15:23 All belong to Christ! Deuteronomy 10:14 Romans 5:19 ALL became sinners, right? So ALL become righteous! “For just as because of the disobedience of one man the many became sinners, so also because of the obedience of The One the many become righteous.” - Aramaic Bible in Plain English There’s another extremely important “many” to pay critical attention to, as this “many” involves the rejection of Jesus’ law of GRACE and subsequently Jesus’ rejection of the “many” at His 2nd coming! This “many” is about the 2nd death!
See what Jesus said below: Matthew 7:22-23 #4183 Polloi - Πολλοὶ multitudinous 22 “Many will say to Me in that the day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' 23 And then I will declare unto them, 'I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.' ” - Berean Literal Bible Who preaches today in the Name of Jesus? Christians of course! There are, however, two kinds of Christians, the true ones and the false ones. The 2.3 billion latter believe in everlasting damnation. Since the “many” sinners in Romans 5:19 means “ALL” at the core, it is just logic that this “many” refers to the 2.3 billion ‘eternal-hell-believing’ Christians who preach in the name of the ‘other’ false Jesus, who will send trillions100000 into ‘everlasting damnation’? Do you notice here the “working lawlessness”? It goes without saying that Jesus refers to disobedience of HIS law of Grace here by the “many”, doing Mosaic works. Jesus’ law has NO conditional works attached. His law automatically prompts unconditional deeds of GRATITUDE towards HIS GRACE! We see the “working lawlessness” as DISOBEDIENCE towards Christ!
1 Peter 3:19-20 #3115 makrothymia μακροθυμία patiently “19 in which also he went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison, 20 who in former times did not obey, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water.” - New Revised Standard Version When did God wait patiently? When the crowd in Noah’s time did not [yet] obey. God practises what He preaches! Colossians 3:12 How many spirits were in the grave? MANY! MULTITUDINOUS! We can easily come to this conclusion as only eight were saved with the flood, Noah and his family. The significance of this lies in the comparison Jesus had drawn between the flood in Noah’s days and the devastation with His second coming.
As it was in the days of Noah... Matthew 24:37 “As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.” - Berean Standard Bible
We see in Matthew 7:22-23 that Jesus prophesied His rejection of the many (multitudinous) disobedient lawless ‘followers’ with His second coming. In Matthew 24:37 He prophesied the similarity between the destruction in Noah’s days and the coming destruction when He returns. Therefore, as in Noah’s days, only a FEW will make it at His second coming. Matthew 7:13-14 “13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.” - New Revised Standard Version “Will he find faith on the earth?”
What does slavery look like. Division clichés, condescension, sanctimonious voice tones, self-defensiveness, identity crises, insecurity, false piety. Discord, fearful behaviour, aggressive responses, stuck in guilty consciences, never good enough, no boldness for Christ, ‘hell’ dilemma Lack of authenticity Identity crisis To have a chronic identity crisis is to have the constant need for validation. Adam and Eve had no such thing before God abandoned them from Paradise. With their disobedience came their separation from God, their Fountain of life. BECAUSE of this separation from God, they immediately tasted spiritual death, coupled with an identity crisis, insecurity and misery. Cain was banished under a CURSE and became a restless wanderer on earth ( Genesis 4:11-12 ). The wicked world, abounding in iniquity, was destroyed by the deluge, except for Noah and his family. They were spared for the simple reason that God had plans of prosperity for ALL humanity ( Jeremiah 29:11 ). Never lose perspective around the root cause of all on earth. Do not forget Lucifer’s identity crisis when abandoned from Eden in the first place, only to be equipped for his predetermined role as Satan, ruler of the world, having his first assignment to deceive Adam and Eve unto disobedience! His legacy of insecurity and identity crisis has been carried forward to this day and so obvious when it comes to all those who are in submission to the God who saved ALL humanity through Christ ALREADY and therefore to those who has the power to resist him as result of that ( James 4:7 ). Satan’s strategy is always to target those NOT being reconciled to the true Christ , ( 2 Corinthians 5:20 ). All those who DON’T believe in the UNIVERSAL salvation through CHRIST , simply have NOT reconciled themselves to Him. Why are pastors SO stressed out you think? Because they preach everlasting damnation and as a result of that they are burdened with insecurity and deep down never really feel they measure up! They constantly need validation because of NOT being within the TRUE CHRIST and insecure in their identity. Moreover, how many of these pastors are on pharmaceutical drugs ? MANY !I know, because I practiced as a pharmacist for decades!
Luke 18:7-8 “7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”.” - New International Version By the mere fact that Jesus even asked such a question one immediately comes to the question answer “it doesn’t look like it, does it?”. And to fuel ‘His Fire of discipline’ He prophetically rejected the multitudinous lawless [so-called] Christian hordes with their ‘everlasting damnation’ doctrine in Matthew 7:22-23 already! Who else preaches in the name of Christ over millennia, albeit keeping this doctrine conveniently at bay? Think about it! Interestingly, Jesus revealed impatience, for the RIGHT reason
Luke 12:49 “I have come to ignite a fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” - Berean Standard Bible Why did Jesus say this? Because He ONLY had the ultimate GLORY in sight, the glory of JOY that was going to follow His painful- and corrective discipline of the lawless unbelievers AND the rest of the unbelieving world! Jesus’ LAW is ALL about JOY!
The law that gives FREEDOM! Galatians 5:1 “In freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore and do not be entangled again in a yoke of SLAVERY !” Yoke of Slavery?
