‘Christian’, Do you give Hope to the World at All?
Hebrews 6:18-20
“
18
so
that
by
two
unchangeable
things,
in
which
it
is
impossible
for
God
to
lie,
we
may
have
strong
encouragement,
having
fled
for
refuge,
to
take
hold
of
the
hope
being
set
before
us,
19
which
we
have
as
an
anchor
of
the
soul,
both
sure
and
unshakable
and
entering
into
that
within
the
veil,
20
where
Jesus,
the
forerunner
for
us,
has
entered,
having
become
a
high
priest
to
the
age,
according to the order of Melchizedek.”
- Berean Literal Bible
‘Christian’,
what
contribution
do
you
make
in
terms
of
giving
hope
to
a
world
that
is
thrown
in
a
whirlpool
of
despair,
where
pandemics,
earthquakes,
floods,
landslides,
and
viruses
are
on
the
order
of
the
day?
The
world
has
NO
hope.
Why?
Because
the
world
relies
on
itself.
‘Christian’,
are
you
one
of
those
who
has
an
urgent
comment
like
“repent!
Jesus
is coming!” when watching a video with natural disasters on the internet?
Why
the
urgency
of
those
comments,
you
think?
Simple
to
answer.
People
are
urged
by
‘Christians’
to
repent
and
accept
Jesus,
because
if
they
don’t
they
will
end
up
in
an
‘everlasting
hell’.
Is
that
lie
giving
hope?
No,
that
is
putting
even
MORE
stress
on
these
people…
the
stress
of
FEAR
!
Especially
when
these
disasters
are
happening
in
countries
where
the
main
religion is not Christianity, albeit
TRUE
Christianity of course.
When
does
hope
have
its
highest
form,
you
think?
When
it
has
eternal
value
without
condition
…
i.e.
unconditional
everlasting
life
!
Hope
coupled
with
a
conditional
threat,
is
NO
hope
at
all…
only
a
false
hope
of
short
duration.
People
need
ETERNAL
lasting
hope,
their
inadequacies
and
weaknesses
despite!
This
hope
one
can
ONLY
find
in
the
unconditional eternal hope the True Jesus Christ of the Bible gives.
1 Thessalonians 4:13
“Brothers
and
sisters,
we
do
not
want
you
to
be
uninformed
about
those
who
sleep
in
death,
so
that
you
do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope
.”
- New International Version
‘Whom
did
Paul
address
here?
His
Thessalonian
followers,
who
were
believing
in
the
true
Christ,
having
saved
ALL
mankind
already
through
His
death
on
the
cross.
The
Jesus
whom
the
Samaritans
have
proclaimed
to
be
the
Saviour
of
the
world
.
John 4:42
“They
said
to
the
woman,
“We
now
believe
not
only
because
of
your
words;
we
have
heard
for
ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the
Savior of the world
. ””
- Berean Study Bible
Jesus, Saviour of the world… when? The very moment He died on the cross!
Hebrews 10:29
“How
much
more
severely
do
you
think
someone
deserves
to
be
punished
who
has
trampled
the
Son
of
God
underfoot,
who
has
treated
as
an
unholy
thing
the
blood
of
the
covenant
that
sanctifi
ed
them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?”
- New International Version
(Past tense)
Pastor,
‘Christian’,
stop
trying
to
‘save’
the
world!
The
world
is
already
saved.
First
of
all,
start
by
yourself…
earnestly
praying
to
the
Holy
Spirit
to
open
your
own
eyes
to
the
Truth
of
everlasting
life
for
ALL
,
a
done
deal
Truth
already.
And
once
you
find
this
Truth,
then
you
can
effortlessly
share
it
with
the
world,
yourself
being
cloaked
in
a
radiance
of
the
love
of
Christ
who
did
it
all
already.
This
then
comes
automatically…
when
one
is
overjoyed,
one
wants
to
share
it
with
the world… for free.
Matthew 11:30
“For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.””
- New International Version
This
is
the
hope
the
world
needs
to
have…
in
order
to
carry
on
with
life
amidst
any
adversity…
having
the
focus
fixed
upon
the
eternal-
and
lovely
end
result
for
all.
Then
the
world
will
know
that
death
is
no
threat
anymore,
that
their
deceased
loved
ones
will
share
in
this
same
hope
come
true…
the
hope
Jesus
gave
to
the
spirits
in
the
grave
upon
His
resurrection
to
life
(
1 Peter 3:19
).
Though
judgement
is-
and
will
be
a
sore
affair,
its
outcome
will
be
bliss
for
ALL!
Paul
and his followers were judged on earth.
1 Corinthians 11:32
“Nevertheless,
when
we
are
judged
in
this
way
by
the
Lord,
we
are
being
disciplined
so
that
we
will
not be finally condemned with the world.”
- New International Version
Please
take
note
that
the
“condemned”
in
this
verse
means
“to
judge
worthy
of
punishment”,
not
eternal
damnation
at
all. Judgement is ALL about discipline and correction.
#2632 katakrithōmen κατακριθῶμεν
Those
who
did
not
believe
before
they
died
WILL
be
disciplined
by
God
to
purity,
by
them
washing
their
robes
in
the
Blood of Christ unto white (
Revelation 7:14
).
To
conclude,
all
that
is
asked
from
true
Christians
is
to
share
the
message
of
hope
to
the
uninformed,
give
them
love
and
help
them
in
their
needs…
WITHOUT
trying
to
save
them.
They
will
from
themselves
start
searching
for
this
Truth
and God will help them there… for those who seek will find (
Matthew 7:7
).
May you yourself start searching and may God let you find.
