Where are Your Roots, in Christ, or in Man?

Colossians 2:6-8 6  Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, 7   having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being strengthened in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding with thanksgiving. 8  Take heed lest there will be anyone taking you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the principles of the world and not according to Christ.” - Berean Literal Bible ‘Christian’, are you looking for your roots in Israel? Are you facing an identity crisis? Are you a member of the ever-so- expanding Messianic-Judaism movement and thus frantically busy learning Hebrew, the language of the Torah? ‘Christian’, there is only ONE language to become positively addicted to… the language of Christ… the language of agape LOVE ! Did you know that genealogy is negatively addictive? People all over the world are captivated with this egotistical entertainment. Who made Jesus’ disciples, who primarily spoke Aramaic, speak in tongues, i.e. in languages of all those foreign Jewish visitors in Jerusalem, celebrating Shavuot ? The Holy Spirit of course. They did NOT speak gibberish. No, they spoke real languages without even having had to study these languages! The visitors understood the disciples and they heard the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus there and then on the day of Pentecost, each in his /her native language! Acts 2:5-8 5  Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6  When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7  Utterly amazed, they asked: "Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? 8  Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?” - New International Version ‘Christian’, in the event of you being in an identity crisis, there is only one place to find your identity and that is within the Christ of the Bible… the Christ who has paid the price for all humanity. The remedy for any identity crisis is found within the Author of the Bible. “Exclusivity” is a swear word in the language of Christ… according to the verses below. Romans 2:11 “For God does not show favoritism.” - New International Version Galatians 3:26-28 26  For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27  For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” - Berean Literal Bible ‘Christian’, have you been baptized into the TRUE Christ who has saved the whole world regardless? See, only if you have been baptized into the TRUE Christ can you be clothed with Him and be part of His identity. Being within His identity one needs nothing more… one needs not do anything more, - search anymore… just be within Him and experience the peace that surpasses all. May you find that peace.
