God’s Sovereignty has No Room for ‘Free Will’

Psalm 103:19 “The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” - New International Version God’s Sovereignty has supreme Authority and Control over ALL creation. What a wonderful verse! ‘Christian’, you who believes in an everlasting hell of damnation and ‘free will’, have you ever thought about this verse? Were you ever in conflict with this Psalm when it comes to your so-called ‘free will’? Most likely. Have you ever giving it a thought that your conflict originates from your ego... From a heart craving control? Do you ever come up, when questioned about God’s Sovereignty, with a comment of acknowledgment, but with an ‘add- on’? The ‘add-on’ being the “but” after acknowledging God’s Supremacy? You know, the classic excuse that goes along this line of “yes, God is Sovereign, but in His grace He grants man ‘free will’ to decide for him/herself”. On the surface it sounds like a ‘nice-to-have’, but is it really? ‘Free will’ is a world paradigm, based upon a ‘feel-good’ assumption of having control. This is the number one trespass with which Satan has his biggest success to this day, stemming from Eden. Power! The first two inhabitants fell for it and that is exactly where the misery of man has its root. Why do you for one moment think the world is in such a mess? Stress! Stress is what kicks in the moment self-reliance takes the reigns. The irony is that virtually all people think they have ‘free will’, but they indeed have not. ‘Free will’ puts the focus on the self and not on God. Man has no free will whatsoever, rather God determines the will of man. There are countless examples of this that will be addressed on our “Free Will” subject. “Free will” is the breeding ground for enmity, wars, suffering, malice, and the list goes on and on and on and on . Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps..” - New International Version May God grant you the courage to revisit your stand around His Sovereignty.
