Where’s Your Focus?

Romans 8:6 “For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit, life and peace,” - Berean Literal Bible ‘Christian’, are you governed by your thoughts being focused on people? Are you constantly busy pleasing people… or rather busy trying to impress them? Do you realise that this is the very thing virtually all people around the world are doing all the time? And also, do you realize that THAT is the reason why social media has become the most popular spider web of the world, encapsulating its prey with its endorphin glue? Do you really find lasting solace amongst you fellow ‘Christians’, whether it be on a personal level, or on a cyber level? Do you constantly have to get assurance from them… over and over again, hanging onto the tangible, never to be enough? How well do you know the Jesus Christ of the Bible, the Christ you proclaim to worship? Have you at all experienced Him to be enough for all your fears, your worries, your insecurities? Can you say you have suffered so much that you have reached the point where NOTHING else matters than to be within Christ all the time, where you find total solace non stop, without even having to go anywhere, phone anyone, or text anyone? If your Christ is the Christ of the Bible, then the world will have become dead to you and vice versa. Is the world dead to you and are you dead to the world? Galatians 6:14 “But for me, may it be never to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.” - Berean Literal Bible Philippians 3:7-8 But whatever was gain to me I count as loss for the sake of Christ. 8   More than that, I count all things as loss compared to the surpassing excellence of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ” - Berean Literal Bible To be continued…
