Are You a Product of the Academy?
‘Christian’, are you a product of the tertiary academy, resorting under its faculty of “Christendom”?
What
was
the
root
reason
for
you
to
embark
on
that
avenue…
to
solely
learn
to
know
the
God
of
the
Bible…
or
did
the
credentials
as
a
means
to
status
in
a
hierarchy
of
prestige
draw
you?
Is
your
arena
strictly
demarcated,
only
allowing
the
academically-
qualified
in
your
territory
of
‘expertise’?
How
do
you
respond
when
a
‘commoner’
questions-
and
challenges you? Is it a response of humbleness… or is it a response of dismay… saturated with conceit?
How did the scribes and Pharisees respond to Peter and John… two illiterate ‘commoners’ in their eyes?
Acts 4:13
“Now
as
they
observed
the
confidence
of
Peter
and
John
and
understood
that
they
were
uneducated
and
untrained
men,
they
were
amazed,
and
began
to
recognize
them
as
having
been
with Jesus.”
- New American Standard Bible
Do
you,
Professor
Dr.
Scribe,
feel
offended
when
a
‘commoner’
shows
boldness
towards
you?
Reality
within
the
heart
shows.
When
one’s
ego
is
threatened,
it
reacts
and
thus
reveals
itself.
True
Christianity
is
ALL
about
Christ.
True
Christianity
does
not
have
an
ego
to
defend.
True
Christianity
speaks
with
boldness
and
chutzpah,
in
defence
of
the
true
Jesus Christ… not in defence of the self.
What did Jesus think of the academy?
Matthew 11:25
“At
that
time
Jesus
said,
"I
praise
You,
Father,
Lord
of
heaven
and
earth,
that
You
have
hidden
these
things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.”
- New American Standard Bible
Did
Jesus
love
the
scribes
and
Pharisees?
Of
course
He
did.
Jesus
hates
pride…
but
He
loves
the
prideful.
The
prideful
is
and
will
be
painfully
disciplined
into
humbleness
by
Jesus.
Discipline,
especially
from
the
Ultimate
Father,
is
a
painful
affair.
To
qualify
for
the
Ultimate
glory
with
Him,
ultimate
discipline
is
asked
for
beforehand…
at
the
hand
of
God
Himself.
Hebrews 12:6
“For the Lord disciplines whom He loves, and He scourges every son whom He receives.”
- Berean Literal Bible
Hebrews 10:31
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
- Berean Literal Bible
The
academy
is
an
institution
that
puffs
up
the
ego
since
time
immemorial.
Paul
was
also
a
member
of
that
society…
until
God
threw
him
to
the
ground.
Afterwards
Paul
regarded
all
his
credentials
to
be
worthless
when
Jesus
revealed
to
him
the
Truth…
the
Truth
that
set
him
free…
with
wisdom
embedded
in
the
cross
of
grace.
For
Paul
there
then
remained
only one law… the law of the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:19
““For
the
wisdom
of
this
world
is
foolishness
in
God’s
sight.
As
it
is
written:
“He
catches
the
wise
in
their craftiness.””
- Berean Study Bible
Romans 8:2
“because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin
and death.”
- Berean Study Bible
Pastor,
if
you
are
one
of
the
2.3
billion
‘Christians’,
you
proclaim
an
“everlasting
hell”,
don’t
you?
2.3
billion
is
a
lot,
Pastor.
Ever
thought
of
that,
taken
into
account
the
small
gate
Jesus
talks
about
in
Matthew
7:14
,
that
leads
to
life?
Pastor,
do
you
really
believe
that
the
so-called
‘Christian’
church
experiences
the
life
Jesus
talks
about,
taken
into
account all the jealousy, enmity, backbiting, envy, interpersonal conflict and division present in your society?
See what Paul says below…
2 Corinthians 3:6
“He
has
made
us
competent
as
ministers
of
a
new
covenant--not
of
the
letter
but
of
the
Spirit;
for
the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
- New International Version
The
spiritual
death
that
is
so
evident
in
the
divided
church
today
is
solely
because
of
the
‘fiddled-with
letter’
being
read
with
a
bias-egotistical
agenda.
The
grammatical
discrepancies
in
billions
of
Bibles
across
the
globe
have
put
the
whole
‘Christendom’
into
a
whirlpool
of
insecurity
and
subsequent
strife,
because
of
its
focus
on
the
letter
and
not
on
Christ,
the Saviour of ALL people. Its constant and futile attempts to ‘prove’ its eschatological exclusivity have been its downfall.
Are
you
one
of
those
who
regard
written
comments
around
the
Bible
in
basic
language,
without
academic
theological
terminology,
to
be
too
informal,
too
simplistic
and
too
unsophisticated?
Professor
Dr.
Scribe,
dissertation
style
is
for
the
academy,
but
warm
heart-style
is
for
all
the
rest
who
appreciate
what’s
coming
from
the
heart.
Paul
heard
Christ’s
voice,
smitten on the ground… the perfect place to be for hearing Him.
Think again, Professor, Doctor…
at the Spiritual Drawing Board… The Holy Spirit.
