Do you Focus on God’s Kindness, or His Wrath?
1 Kings 19:11-13
“
11
The
LORD
said,
"Go
out
and
stand
on
the
mountain
in
the
presence
of
the
LORD,
for
the
LORD
is
about
to
pass
by."
Then
a
great
and
powerful
wind
tore
the
mountains
apart
and
shattered
the
rocks
before
the
LORD,
but
the
LORD
was
not
in
the
wind.
After
the
wind
there
was
an
earthquake,
but
the
LORD
was
not
in
the
earthquake.
12
After
the
earthquake
came
a
fire,
but
the
LORD
was
not
in
the
fire.
And
after
the
fire
came
a
gentle
whisper
.
13
When
Elijah
heard
it,
he
pulled
his
cloak
over
his
face
and
went
out
and
stood
at
the
mouth
of
the
cave.
Then
a
voice
said
to
him,
"What
are
you doing here, Elijah?"”
- New International Version
Pastor,
do
you
focus
on
God’s
wrath,
not
hearing
His
gentle
whisper?
Do
you
deem
His
wrath
to
have
the
last
say
to
unbelievers
in
your
‘everlasting
hell
of
damnation’
doctrine,
constantly
holding
this
fearmongering
tool
to
keep
your
followers
in
bondage…
forcing
them
to
selfishly
follow
[your]
Jesus
out
of
fear
of
an
‘everlasting
hell
fire’,
instead
of
out
of love (
2 Corinthians 11:4
)? ‘Christian’, are you one of those Paul addresses below?
2 Corinthians 11:4
“For
if
someone
comes
to
you
and
preaches
a
Jesus
other
than
the
Jesus
we
preached,
or
if
you
receive
a
different
spirit
from
the
Spirit
you
received,
or
a
different
gospel
from
the
one
you
accepted, you put up with it easily enough.”
- New International Version
You
cannot
hear
God’s
voice
when
your
focus
is
on
the
false
Jesus,
the
‘Jesus’
whose
blood
is
subject
to
your
‘free
will’
and
freedom
of
choice’.
The
false
‘Jesus’
gives
false
messages
of
‘good
news’
via
conceit,
gullibility,
condescension,
exploitation
and
appeasement.
He
is
all
over
the
show,
inevitably
leading
to
misery
and
death.
The
false
‘Jesus’
keeps
fear intact.
“
And
after
the
fire
came
a
gentle
whisper
”.
One
can
only
hear
a
whisper
within
stillness.
One
can
only
hear
God’s
voice
when
one’s
mind
and
truth
is
dependently
focused
on
Him
and
not
on
surroundings
of
lies,
insecurity,
fear,
pain,
turmoil,
strife,
division,
etc.
Does
God’s
blazing
fire
have
the
last
say?
No,
His
kindness
has
the
last
say…
His
kindness
of
everlasting grace with all in
Revelation 22:21
.
Revelation 22:21
“ Ἡ χάρις τοῦ Κυρίου Ἰησοῦ μετὰ πάντων.”
“Hē charis tou Kyriou Iēsou meta pantōn”
“The grace of the Lord Jesus with all.”
